About Me

My name is Shari Lambert.  I am an aspiring author currently trying to get published.  I attended Brigham Young University, receiving a bachlor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees.  You can contact me at shari_d_lambert at hotmail dot com.

I have a wonderful husband and four beautiful children.  I have a great life and am very blessed.

I love to read — a lot.  Sometimes too much, because when I get absorbed in a book, I don’t get anything else done.  Some of my favorite books:  Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan, Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter, Harry Potter, The Seven Realms series, The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgonery, Graceling by Kristin Cashore,  The Healing Wars trilogy by Janice Hardy, Tamora Pierce, Shannon Hale, Robin McKinley, anything (and everything) by Georgette Heyer, Lord of the Rings, The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Pride and Prejudice, Agatha Christie…and many more I’m not thinking of right this minute.

I also love to watch movies, play the piano, sing, ballroom dance, and spend time with my family.

    Hi Shari,

Great job on your website. I enjoy reading your reviews….although since I haven’t read Brisingr yet, I’m skipping that one! Actually I don’t have much time to read these days, but I do have a 45 minute commute to work and I’m an audiobook junkie! I listened to both Eragon and Eldest and I’m going to buy Brisinger audiobook soon!

I was wondering if you have read the George RR Martin series, A Song Of Ice And Fire? I listened to them and thought they were great…very rough in many respects, but the characters are wonderful. If you’re a bit squeamish I’d stay away from them. They have stark (no pun intended) depictions of murder, sex, war, etc, which usually puts me off, but the characters are so wonderfully done.

  2. Shari,

Firstly, fantastic website. Love it. Been reading through for the past 4 hours straight! No lies, really. Can’t wait to get my password from you so I can peruse your sample chapters.

I’ll forgive you for loving the Twilight series; they are a terrible set of books in my opinion.

  3. Four children and a writer…we have some things in common (plus, Harry Potter…love those books!). Best of luck to you~
